SYMPTOM(s):
Dumping of database contents becomes slower and slower when using a SAN.
Dumping of data is fast but then dramatically slows down after a while when using a Storage Area Network.
CAUSE:
There may be an issue with the card configuration to the fibre channel SAN Switch.
FIX:
Contact your hardware vendor to check the configuration of the SAN switch to ensure that the settings are correct.
