SYMPTOM(s):
Attempting to install Progress.
Error during installation of 8.3E on Windows XP
LoadLibrary("s") failed - The specified module could not be found.
Regsvr32: Load Libraries("s") failed - The specified module cannot be loaded.
The installation of Progress does not appear to be affected by this error except for the OCX controls not getting registered.
CAUSE:
The following OCX files failed to register during installation pstimer.ocx,
csspin32.ocx and cscomb32.ocx.
FIX:
Register the following Progress OCX controls via the regsvr32.exe utility:
- %DLC%\bin\regsvr32.exe %DLC%\bin\system\pstimer.ocx.
- %DLC%\bin\regsvr32.exe %DLC%\bin\system\cscomb32.ocx.
- %DLC%\bin\regsvr32.exe %DLC%\bin\system\csspin32.ocx.
