rcp being used to copy database files
CAUSE:
rcp being used to copy database files at the same time as probkup online is trying to access those files can increase the length of time that probkup online requires and make it seem as if the database is hanging. Using rcp on an online database is also not recommended because it will be uncertain whether the files that are copied will be in a consistent state. The only online backup supported by Progress is that done with probkup online.
FIX:
Do not use rcp on database files when the database is in use.
