v7 Windows executables:
_prowin.exe Progress for MS-Windows, including support for
the following Progress DataServer Products:
Remote AS/400
SYBASE 4 NetLIB
ODBC
Local and remote ORACLE
SYBASE 10
_prowin2.exe Progress for MS-Windows, including support for
the following Progress DataServer Products:
Remote C-ISAM
ODBC
Local and remote ORACLE
Remote SYBASE 4
Remote SYBASE 10
(if you are not using a DataServer, you do not need _prowin2.exe,
and you can delete it to conserve disk space)
_prowina.exe Double-Byte enabled Progress. DBE Progress is
necessary for using double-byte Asian languages
such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Single-byte
Asian languages (such as Thai, Vietnamese, and
Malayasian) and Middle-eastern languages that read
right to left are supported by the standard _prowin
executable.
(if you are not using any DBE languages, you do not need _prowina,
and you can delete it to conserve disk space)
_prowinr.exe Progress for MS Windows, minus the Application
Compiler. This may be used for application
deployment.
v8 Windows Executables:
dbe_prowin.exe Double-Byte enabled Progress (see description of
_prowina.exe above)
_prowin.exe Progress for MS Windows, including support for all
Progress DataServer products.
