Failing to start a copy of a database on a new machine.
** Unable to create .lk, errno = 13 (609)
** Unable to create .lg, errno = 13 (609)
** Unable to create <file-name>, errno = <number> (609)
Unable to open or create <filename>, error errno=13. (2257)
The database was copied by using OS copy to a CD-ROM then transferred to the new computer
CAUSE:
One cause can be that the database files are read-only. (When copying from a CD-ROM files often turns up as read-only.)
FIX:
Change the file privileges on files.
- right-click/properties - uncheck the read-only box
