28000: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user 'test1'. Failed to connect to the MSS database.(6142)
ODBC DSN is configured to use SQL Server authentication with user/password
Can not login into SQL Server with user/password using SQL Server tools
SQL Server user created through SQL Server
SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a
Can not change the ODBC DSN configuration so that the SQL Server verifies authenticity via Windows NT authentication
CHANGE:
SQL Server database was backedup and restored through Microsoft tools
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing
FIX:
In SQL Server, delete user/password and recreate the login again.
