SYMPTOM(s):
Warning: The item you requested to start is not networked. If you proceed sports2000 will be started, but will have no communications with the admin server. The admin server will not know if it is running or not.

The above warning message displayed when starting database with Progress Explorer.
CAUSE:
A port number in the properties of the NameServerGroup is not specified.
FIX:
Make sure a port number is specified.
Here is the hierarchy:
Console Root
- localhost
- Database
- DatabaseName
- Configurations
- NameConfiguration
- NameServerGroup
Add to the properties at this level. Under General, there is Service Name or Port Number. Add a valid service name or port number from an entry in your /etc/services file.
