FTP access to pscgate via the World Wide Web

DRAFT COPY - Currently under review and edit.

INTRODUCTION:
=============
Increasingly, people tend to think of the "internet" as synonymous
with the "World Wide Web". For many people, a Web browser is their
only connection to the internet, so a way is needed for these users to
access our FTP site through the Web.

WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
===========================
For customers who are unfamiliar with, or don't have access to FTP
client software, Web browsers (like Netscape, Internet Explorer, etc.)
which make a convenient interface to our FTP site.

PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
====================
To use your Web browser to access the Progress FTP server, just point
your browser to ftp://ftp.progress.com, and this will allow you to
enter pscgate's root directory, from which you can click your way
through the directories. Clicking on the file you want to download
should invoke your browser's "save as" dialog. Just choose a
directory in your local hard drive, and the file should begin
downloading.
