GOAL:
Is it possible to have Progress looking at the PROPATH setting in the INI file specified with the -ininame switch in the startup line of an AppServer agent?
GOAL:
Is it possible to use INI file to set PROPATH on the AppServer agent?
GOAL:
Is it possible to use INI file to set PROPATH on the WebSpeed agent?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
Back in Progress 8, one could set the PROPATH for the AppServer on WIN NT platforms in the WinChar Startup section of the progress.ini file. However, this method is not valid for Progress 9 or higher versions of AppServer or WebSpeed agent.
For AppServer and WebSpeed sessions in version 9, Progress is supposed to ignore the Registry/INI setting and only use the PROPATH environment setting from the ubroker.properties file.
