SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot start up Progress SQL Explorer.
Proxy Generator does not start up either.
WJView Error.
Could not locate Java Virtual Machine: Class not registered.
CAUSE:
Microsoft Java Virtual Machine for Microsoft Internet Explorer has implemented Internet security, which restricts access to Java Scripting and ActiveX Controls.
FIX:
Enable Java Scripting and ActiveX Controls access by performing the following steps:
1- Access the Internet Explorer's Tools -> Internet Options... menu.
2- From the Internet Options Window, select the Security Tab and hit the "Custom Level..." button in the "Security level for this zone" section.
3- From the Security Settings Dialog, enable the "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" setting and make sure that Java permissions under Microsoft VM is not disabled.
