Status: Verified
FACT(s) (Environment):
SCO UnixWare 7.1.1
Progress 9.1D
Progress 9.1E
SCO UnixWare 7.1.3
SYMPTOM(s):
Can't install Progress on SCO UnixWare
Error dynamic linker: _ovrly : error opening /usr/lib/libm.so.1
CAUSE:
The installation executable _ovrly requires the library file /usr/lib/libm.so.1. The file does not exist.
FIX:
Download and install UnixWare and OpenServer Development Kit Feature Supplement.
This package can be downloaded from the Caldera download page at http://wdb1.caldera.com/clbk_web/owa/dwn_customer.
On installation, Development Kit Feature will offer you 8 sub-components to install. libm.so.1 is part of Runtime Math Library Feature Supplement.
It's also recommended to get latest version of C++ Runtime Library Feature Supplement as well as C Runtime Library Feature Supplement. So first 3 components needed to be installed.
