SYMPTOM(s):
WebSpeed broker does not start when the server log file has read only privilege
The broker and server log files are not being updated with a new information
Logging settings is set to append for both broker and server log files.
The wsbroker1.server.log file security was set to read only
CHANGE:
The Progress working directory is copied form another machine
CAUSE:
The wsbroker1.server.log file security is set to Read only. This may have happened when the progress working directory was copied from another machine. After deleting both broker and server log files from the progress working directory, and the restart of the broker worked fine.
FIX:
Delete the Webspeed broker and server log files from the Progress working directory and restart the broker.
