SYMPTOM(s):
The 9.1D online HELP screen entitled "Alias Escape Character Sequences" defines the following format for a "parameter replacement":
%\(ParamName)
When the backslash is used (as the "Alias Escape Character Sequences" HELP screen suggests), the alias doesn't work properly.
FIX:
If the backslash is NOT used (as indicated in step 5 of the "How to Define an Alias that Prompts for Parameters" HELP Screen), the alias works just fine.
EXAMPLE: %(ParamName)
