SYMPTOM(s):
Launching GUI SQL Explorer tool
SQL Explorer does not start
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: java/security/AccessController.doPrivileged
Error java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: java/security/AccessController.doPrivileged Possible causes: If you are trying to use j/Direct {@dll.import}, check your compiler version {for JVC, requires 4336 or greater} If you are trying to use RNI these are new requirements: See documentation.
CAUSE:
This is a known issue being investigated by Development
FIX:
To workaround the issue perform one the following options:
1. Move or delete the following three files:
- SQLExplorer.properties
- sqlexp.log
- SQLExplorer.history
The files will be re-generated the next time the SQL Explorer tool is started.
2. Run character mode version of Sql Explorer on the UNIX box. From the command line type "sqlexp -char -db dbname -S port -U user -P pwd"
