Does Roundtable have a bulkload utility ?

INTRODUCTION:
=============
One of the main problems facing new installation of
Roundtable is loading large amounts of code into a
Roundtable configuration. Often the Code Load utility
is not sufficient for this and customers often ask if there
are other ways of loading their code.

This knowledgebase entry describes the avaiable options
with the present release of Roundtable.

WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
===========================
There are several possible ways of loading objects into
Roundtable. Below is a brief description of each option:

Adding objects individually
============================
In the case where only single objects are being loaded into
Roundtable, it is possible to use File | New from the
TableTop. This will create a new object with the assigned
name, or if the object exists already, it will create a
reference in Roundtable with the object name, path etc. so
the object can be edited.

Code Load
=========
At the moment there is only one feature in Roundtable for
loading source code and other objects. The Code Load
utility allows users to load objects one at a time into
Roundtable. It requires that the user selects each object,
the object type and whether or not Roundtable should scan
the objectÆs content for comments.

This takes a long time if there are many objects and is not
the best way of doing this.

Module Load
===========
This is a new feature to Roundtable that has been added a
short time before the commercial release, and has not gone
through any formal testing. Therefore, it is not fully
documented and not a supported function of Roundtable. It
cannot be accessed through the TableTop but must be run
from the Procedure editor whilst Roundtable is running.
The source code for Roundtable contains a directory called
ôrtb/rtb/docö which contains a file (modload.wri
describing how to use Module Load.

The feature will be included in the next release of
Roundtable and will be accessible from the Roundtable
TableTop.

Load and Go Utilities
=====================
There are no complete Load and Go utilities available at
the moment for a complete Roundtable set-up and load of an
application. However, it is possible to get a consultant to
write such an application. In cases where the application
is very large, a lot of time and effort can be saved by
using this option.

The extent of the automation of these procedures varies and
will be individual for each installation.
