GOAL:

Active and Empty Blocks from prostrct statistics

GOAL:

Why doesn't prostrct statistics show less active blocks for a particular storage area after deleting data from that area?

FIX:

When you have removed data from one area, prostrct statistics does not show less active blocks for that area. This is because blocks might become "Free" but not "Empty"; empty blocks are the only "non active" blocks for a database.

Empty blocks are the blocks over the high watermark, blocks which have not been formatted. There is no "Empty block chain".

When a database block is "emptied", it is added to the "Free block chain" or the "RM block chain" in case it has still some data.
