SYMPTOM(s):
Database hangs with no errors showed on .lg file.
SYSTEM ERROR: Invalid shared memory segment identifier (1174)
Error 1174 is generated within Core file after database broker was killed using kill -8
CAUSE:
Operating system was initiated on 64 bit mode and Progress 8.3A is not certified for IBM AIX 4.3.3.
FIX:
Install a certified Progress version on your Operating System:
Progress Version 8.3E
Also make sure the Operating system is started on 32 bit mode and the 4330-08_AIX_.ML is installed.
