Installed Progress OpenEdge 10.0A1B on an English version of Windows that contains a non-English locale setting such as Portuguese (Brazil).
Progress OpenEdge was installed on the System using "English - American" as its default language.
Using the Progress Explorer Tool to access the properties screen of a WebSpeed Broker for instance.
Progress Explorer incorrectly displays accented characters.
For example, the letter "a" with an acute accent "á" becomes the pipe character "|".
CAUSE:
This is a known issue.
