GOAL:
Is there a way to return control to the user immediately after invoking an internal procedure that generates a lengthy report?
FIX:
There is no way to return control to the user after calling an internal procedure that generates a lengthy report before that procedure is fully executed.
A work around may be to write the procedure as an external procedure and run it in a separate Progress session.
