GOAL:
4GL:What to do if Database Security Administrator's (Data Administration- Security-Security Administrators) password is lost or forgotten?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
SYMPTOM(s):
"You must be a Security Administrator to execute this function" when trying
to edit a user list in Data Administration.
FIX:
Login to SQL Explorer as "sysprogress" (or another DBA). DROP and re-CREATE the user that was defined as a Security Administrator.
FIX:
If there is no "sysprogress" in the database or if it's password is lost, you have to dump your tables, create a new database and load the tables into it.
