SYMPTOM(s):
Telnet client connecting a Windows server hangs when trying to output a report builder report to the screen.
rbrun.txt is created and locked.
Sending the report to a text file works fine.
CAUSE:
First of all, Telnet clients connecting to a Windows server are not tested, therefore not supported.
When you run a Report Builder report and ask it to be sent to the screen, it will open a GUI window that contains the report. There is no way for the telnet software to run Report Builder executable and open this window.
FIX:
Use another configurations instead such as Citrix and Terminal Services.
