Status: Verified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
WebSpeed 3.1x
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
SYMPTOM(s):
Running IIS Web server within a separate memory space with MTS
WSASP messenger
Memory leak with WSASP messenger
Webspeed agents sporadically receive memory violations
CAUSE:
This is a known issue being investigated by Development
FIX:
Although there is a small memory leak still in WSASP, configuring it correctly under MTS will negate the effect. Install it in MTS as its own component and have MTS clean it up after 10 minutes of inactivity. This will remove the WSASP process and restart it at the next request during slow periods.
Register wsasp.dll into a separate memory space with MTS.
