Error 294 referring to qc file displays for non-root users:
** You do not have permission to access <file-name>. (294)
CHANGE:
Upgraded to 9.1D, added Results as Additional Product.
CAUSE:
File permissions on the qc file might prevent non-root users from accessing the qc file. This file contains the module settings and associated permissions for Results, and Results reads this when generating its start menu.
FIX:
Check the permissions on the qc file for the database being connected to. Ensure that they are set to 666, i.e. -rw-rw-rw-.
For non-root users the 294 error message may display very briefly on screen. This can be captured by e.g.
pro <database-name> -b -p results.p > out.txt
