FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1B
SYMPTOM(s):
Errors 6778, 2329, 612 when using prorest
The first restored block was not the master. (6778)
SYSTEM ERROR: Invalid block <block> for file <file-name>, max is <max-block> (2329)
SYSTEM ERROR: Possible file truncation, <block-offset> too big for database. (612)
lg file for backed up database shows 1364:
Full backup successfully completed. (1364)
lg file for backed up database shows negative value in the 9285 message:
Backup requires an estimated <size+identifier> of media. (9285)
Database larger than 2GB.
CAUSE:
Bug# 20010801-055, Probkup fails on DB > 2GB.
FIX:
Apply the relevant 9.1B patch or upgrade to a later release of Progress, e.g. 9.1C.
The issue only seems to occur with offline backups, so a workaround for 9.1B is to use probkup online.
