Unable to start databases with Progress Explorer Tool
Starting database with DBMAN returns error 1680.
ERROR: Database <db name> failed to start (DBMan022)
SYSTEM ERROR: Unable to kill parent process, errno=4. (1680)
JDK 1.3.1-1 installed.
JDK 1.3.1-2 installed.
CAUSE:
When using the unsupported version of Java for the Progress release and using java dependant utilities, these issues arise. Progress 9.1C required JDK 1.3.0 not 1.3.1
FIX:
Install JDK 1.3.0-1 instead then make corrections in the $DLC/java_env file to point the JDKHOME environment variables to this installation.
