FIX:
A number of changes were made to the 4GL runtime client to increase performance (execution speed) of Progress 4GL applications. These enhancements include:
* Faster commonly used string operations such as LOOKUP and REPLACE.
* Faster binding of internal and external procedure calls.
* Faster binding of shared variables.
* Improved temp-table performance.
* Improved LOAD-PICTURE performance.
* General path-length reduction, thus improving the 4GL program performance.
While most 4GL applications will benefit from these enhancements, results may vary from one operating system to another operating system and from one 4GL application to another 4GL application.
