Win95 7.3 Install GPF when adding WGSPAWN icon
When installing a Progress Windows product that includes character
mode development, the installation utility displays a
Perform Modifications? dialog box which contains:

In order to enable the PROGRESS Character Development Environment,
the following actions need to be performed:
(1) Modify your Windows SYSTEM.INI file to add the VWINGD.386 device
driver to the 386Enh section.
(2) Create a Startup group (if one does not already exist) and add a
WGSPAWN icon to it.

Selecting YES causes a GPF on Win95.
The workaround is to select NO, and complete the character mode
development setup manually, as described on page 5-8 of the
Progress v7 Installation Notes for MS-Windows.
This is fixed in Progress 7.3D01.
