Error 5180 in the Database log file with clients or server on Windows
Event Logger error 997: Could not post a '' event to the Event Viewer. (5180)
Event Logger error : Could not post a '' event to the Event Viewer. (5180)
CAUSE:
One of the event logs has become full on client or server
FIX:
Change the setting of the offending event log. Normally it is the Application log that has become full. In the Event Viewer there are options to increase the size of this log as well as to change the strategies used to override old entries.
