GOAL:
Does the Progress V9 '83makemultiv.bat' batch file need to be run on an existing V8 multi-volume database prior to running the V9 conv89 utility?

FIX:
Once a Progress V8 database is multi-volume, it is not necessary to run the makemultiv.bat file against that database. This batch file only needs to be run when an existing V8 database is single-volume.
