SYMPTOM(s):
Error 1124 after forcing entry into a database.
SYSTEM ERROR: wrong dbkey in block. Found 0, should be <expected dbkey> (1124)
The proutil forced option (-F) was used prior to starting the database.
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
CAUSE:
The forced option has corrupted the database.
The forced option should only be used as a last resort when trying to gain access to the database due to it's nature of bypassing integrity features.
Once the forced option has been used, the database is regarded as being corrupt and is therefore no-longer supported by Progress due to it's unknown state until it has been dumped and loaded.
FIX:
Either restore the database from backup.
OR
Dump and load your database.
