GOAL:
What problems could be encountered when upgrading OS/400 to V5R1 with dataserver applications?
FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AS/400 (RISC)
Progress/400 DataServer
FIX:
There shouldn't be any problems after having upgraded OS/400 to V5R1. Progress V9.1C is currently fully supported on this operating system release.
However it should be taken into consideration that the upgrade process will rebuild access paths of all logical files. That's why some troubles with CRC might be expected.
Use LFLVLCHK=CRC connection option or (if it doesn't help) run UPDSCHCRC program on AS/400 which will update the CRC information according to existing objects.
