GOAL:
What serial numbers / control codes do I use when installing the WebSpeed Messenger?
GOAL:
Is the Messenger product sold seperately
GOAL:
Progress 9.x
GOAL:
WebSpeed 3.x
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.x
All Supported Operating Systems
FIX:
The WebSpeed Messenger is installed by default with any WebSpeed license (i.e., V9 WebSpeed Transaction Server, V9 WebSpeed Enterprise Transaction Server) and also attainable as a seperate product/license; V9 WebSpeed Messenger.
If you have any of the V9 WebSpeed Transaction Server and/or WebSpeed Developement Server licenses installed on your system, you should be all set, as these licenses come with the Messenger component. If you do not or choose to install the product on a different server (with only the Messenger), then you will need to install the Messenger seperately, by obtaining the V9 WebSpeed Messenger product which comes with it's own serial numbers and control codes.
The latest V9/OR10 Messenger is available for free and can be downloaded through the Progress Download Site;
http://www.progress.com/esd/index.ssp
The serial number and control code are available on the download page.
