SYMPTOM(s):
Error "adm2/filename.w is an ADM2.2 SmartObject and can not be run in an ADM1 container. You Should replace adm2/filename.w with a valid ADM1 object." on attempting to run, modify or compile a SmartObjects application after having checked it into a version control software utility.
CAUSE:
The version control utility adds comments at the beginning of all checked in files thus modifying the smart object files in an unexpected way.
FIX:
Ensure that the comments are not added at the very begriming of the AppBuilder generated files but rather in the first comment's area.
