SYMPTOM(s):
PROTOCOL <protocol> is not supported in this version of PROGRESS. (1431)
The error occurs when trying to connect remotely to a database using an ESQL/C client application.
The ESQL/C client was probuilt
CAUSE:
The TCP/IP protocol has not been built into the ESQL/C application.
FIX:
Build TCP/IP protocol into the ESQL/C application. Select TCP/IP protocol at the CONFIGURABLE ELEMENTS screen during PROBUILD.
