SYMPTOM(s):
Invalid version, <version> (expected <version> in object file <file-name>. (2888)
With correct PROPATH and correct version of .r code in the PROPATH
Having different versions of Progress or having upgraded to a new version of Progress
CAUSE:
The application is taking another existing file with same name but different version than the one that should be taken.
FIX:
Start the application and with application running try to rename all the files with same name than the one displayed in the error. When trying to rename one of them an O.S. error will be displayed saying that the file can't be renamed because it is being using by another application.
Rename that file after having stopped the application or find where is the path of that file being kept that makes Progress to take that file (most likely in the "start in" property of the application shortcut).
