30 seconds delay in loading PStimer OCX control
Problem only occurs at initial loading time
Able to isolate the code to this line

PSTimer loads fast if there is no database connection.
Recently a disk failed on a networked test Server that at one time held the Production Progress application.
CAUSE:
The registry on the client machine had a path to the failed non existing Server.
FIX:
Delete any references to the failed non existing server and ensure that the PROPATH correctly points to the live server and its directories.
