FACT(s) (Environment):
Caldera Open UNIX 8
SYMPTOM(s):
Progress users slow to login
System working at about 10% regular speed
Not able to print to printer.
SYSTEM ERROR: Number of private slots in segment table exhausted (1083) truncating the bi file
CAUSE:
The peripheral IP address was removed from a printer setting and print jobs could not find the printer.
FIX:
The setting is perIPH and the proper IP address needs to be set in etc/lp/interfaces/<printer file>
Each printer has its own file in the above folder. Please consult with your UNIX Administrator for the proper configuration of this file.
