SYMPTOM(s):
The ODBC driver they have install on the client does not work.
The Progress client is version 9.
The Progress database is version 8.
They have a CD with the MERANT SQL 89 driver.
CAUSE:
they were trying to use the SQL92 driver installed with the 9x install of the client.
FIX:
Install the MERANT SQL89 32-bit drive
