Getting error (873) when truncating the bi file
SYSTEM ERROR: Physical redo, BKUPDCTR=<number>, note updctr=<number>. (873)
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
CAUSE:
The Bi file is corrupted.
FIX:
- Restore the database from last good backup.
If AI is enable, restore from the last backup and apply the correspondant AI files.
Or
- If no backup is available then force the truncation of the bi file.
proutil <database name> -C truncate bi -F
Now the database must be dumped and reloaded into a brand new database.
