SYMPTOM(s):
This process terminated with exit code 1. (8619)
Can't start database multi-user mode
Can't start database in single-user mode
Reboot does not help.
Prostrct repair does not help.
CAUSE:
Seems to be some type of corruption within the <databaseName>.db file.
FIX:
The following only applies to Progress 9.1D and above!
Back up the database first before proceeding any further!
1) Open the <databaseName>.st file with a text viewer editor and make certain the paths are correct to the database extents.
2) Rename the <databaseName>.db file.
3) Run: prostrct builddb <databaseName> This will create a new <databaseName>.db file.
4) Now try to start the database.
If you are still getting the same errors you may want to restore the latest database backup.
