SYMPTOM(s):
Record locks are not released when a client disconnects
Remote Client is no longer connected to database but showing up in promon
Promon shows user is holding a record lock
User is not listed in promon's user list
User shows up in the lock table
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
CAUSE:
Bug# OE00091782
FIX:
The database must be shutdown and restarted to release the locks.
Apply Service pack 9.1D09 or higher to avoid encounter the problem in the future.
