System error 49 when starting the database on Linux
Every time there's an attempt to start a broker "Memory Violation" occurs and the database goes down
Restoring from the backup copy doesn't solve the problem
CHANGE:
Operating system crash
CAUSE:
Depending on the nature of the Linux operating system crash it may happen that Progress database becomes unusable on this particular machine.
FIX:
Move the database to any spare machine with the same operating system, dump the database definitions (df) and data (d) and load it to a new database on original machine. The database will start as usual.
