FACT(s) (Environment):
RoundTable 9.1C
FACT(s) (Environment):
Dynamics 2.0A01
SYMPTOM(s):
RTB. Progress session crashed while editing an object.
Error: Unable to lock object for editing.
GPF is produced on the machine and stack Trace.
CHANGE:
progress session crashed while editing an object.
After restarting the session and now try to edit that object (updating) again and get error:
Unable to lock object for editing.
CAUSE:
This is a core Roundtable issue. The problem is that there is still a lock on the object in the Roundtable database, as the client session is not seen as being disconnected from the Roundtable repository.
FIX:
To get around this, you will have to disconnect the crashed user from the Roundtable database, or shut down and restart the Roundtable database to free up the lock on the object.
