GOAL:
Can Progress 9.1D connect to a Providex type of database?
FIX:
The only way a Progress client can connect to a foriegn datasource/database is through the Progress DataServer products. Currently, Progress does not support access to Providex type database via any DataServer product, specifically through the ODBC DataServer.
However, there may be other methods on how to connect to these types of data sources without using Progress Sofware's DataServer product. Please note that using another method other than DataServer is not supported.
