GOAL:
How to specify AppServer in the WebClient codebase locator
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.1x
FIX:
In the Progress WebClient Application Assembler choose
the Component tab and then click on the
<Locator...> button which will bring up the "Codebase Locator
Definition" dialog box.
In that dialog box choose the 'AppServer' type and in the URL
specify the following content:
appserver://hostname:5162/asbroker1
It is necessary to substitute 'hostname' with the name of the host
or the ip address where the NameServer resides, port 5162 with
the port number where the NameServer listens and 'asbroker1'
with the name of the AppService of the AppServer broker that
has the WebClient deployed files in the working directory.
If the AppServer working directory is "C:\Apptest" then it
should have the WebClient application version directories
beneath it:
C:\Apptest\1.0
