SYMPTOM(s):
Unable to bring database up in multi-user mode
Memory violation (49) in database log file
Database starts in single user mode
Sports2000 database will not start in multi-user mode using default parameters
CHANGE:
Installed 9.1D on Linux box and converted Progress 8 to Progress 9
CAUSE:
Running VMWARE virtual server sofware. Progress has not tested or certified VMWARE with Progress software.
FIX:
Install Progress directly on the Linux server. In this case, the software was loaded on another Linux server not running VMWARE.
