SYMPTOM(s):
Installation of the MERANT 3.70 32-BIT Progress SQL-89 ODBC driver fails with a popup box indicating 'The installation has detected a problem with your selections'.
The popup box provides three possible reasons for the failure:
1. Ensure that the IPE that you entered is correct for the product selection you have made.
2. If you are installing the pack, you should select at least one driver or select the "Install this feature, and all subfeatures, will be installed to your hard drive" icon for your feature.
3. If you have chosen a single driver install, either licensed or eval, you can not choose more than one driver.
CAUSE:
The 'Custom Setup' installation screen does not select the MERANT 3.70 32-BIT Progress SQL-89 ODBC driver by default.
FIX:
To resolve this problem, select 'ALL ODBC DRIVERS' from the MERANT 'Custom Setup' screen. Then, select "This feature, and all subfeatures, will be installed on the local hard drive".
