Status: Verified
FACT(s) (Environment):
SCO OpenServer 5.0.5
CorVu
Progress 9.1C
SYMPTOM(s):
When configuring the ABA server, the error message appears.
This doesn't appear to be a new-style CorVu server.
The ABA server was built using the latest code.
CAUSE:
The source code for creating the ABA servers may have changed with CorVu 4.2. The message would appear to indicate that the ABA server installed is the incorrect type to work with the installed version of CorVu. For some reason, however, even after building with the new code, this error message appears.
FIX:
To resolve the problem do the following:
1) Use the Progress executable from the new build.
2) Use cvbroker, setup and rqinf from the old build.
3) Ensure that libm.so.1 is installed.
4) Ensure that the two values for the shared memory connection are correctly set:
PASSIVESTOP = 2
ALARMTIME = 0
