SYMPTOM(s):
The port <n> is already in use. (785)
Database startup fails with error 785 in the database log file
FACT(s) (Environment):
UNIX

Error occurs when attempting to start database.
Starting the database using the -S startup parameter.
CAUSE:
The TCP port is in use by another process.
FIX:
Use another TCP port. The OS command netstat -a can be used to determine which TCP ports are already in use.
