Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
SYMPTOM(s):
Message 547 does not show up when disconnecting a user from proshut
Shutdown request denied; you do not have the correct user ID. (547)
proshut is run remotely (-H and -S options)
User running proshut does not have permission to disconnect the named user.
CAUSE:
Bug# 20030616-002
CAUSE:
This is a know issue.
When the user running proshut does not have permission do disconnect another user, message 547 should always pop up.
That's not the case in version 9 when proshut is run remotely.
Because the message is not shown, the effect is that the user running proshut might assume that the other user was disconnected, which is not true.
FIX:
Upgrade to 9.1D07 or OpenEdge 10.x.
